Learning to ski in the slush isn't easy and (unless you already own a bunch of waterproof outerwear) skiing in the rain can kinda suck. Personally, I love skiing in slushy spring snow. Here in PA today the temps were in the 50s and the snow was loose and wet, but not super-sloppy...it was great. I say go for your ski trip unless it's raining steadily. Chances are the beginner areas will be fairly well packed down anyway and the snow just won't be as fast.

He was scheduled for a vasectomy yeserday, after entering doctor's room to start procedure, he decides to not perform procedure. Birth control pills causing severe depression?

I am 15 years old and I have a family history of bipolar depression on both sides of the family. Recently it had been well controlled (no anxiety attacks, no harsh mood swings, no suicidal thoughts or actions, etc.). I have always had a very heavy, painful period. My cramps immobilize me and I get severe migraines the day before my period. My gynecologist recommended that I start a birth control regimen to regulate and lighten my period, so she prescribed me BeYaz and Naproxen 500 mg (I don't take the latter because it causes excessive joint pain). Ever since about a week after I started the pill I had been very irritable and moody, and recently it has progressed to the point where I cry all the time and sleep all day. The only thing I can compare it to is depression. I was wondering if it is all due to the certain pill or if it is entirely because of my preexisting condition. I want to fix it, but I cannot come off of the pill as I do not want to have to experience a painful period again and I have recently become ually active (I don't want to hear it, it was a choice all on my own and I am in a very stable, happy relationship). Would asking about antidepressants interfere with the birth control pills or any pain medication in the Naproxen family? What kind of antidepressant works the best on minors? Should I try a different brand of birth control pill? Reminder, I CANNOT come off the pill. Thanks!

My sister got her last appointment on a voice memo on her ipod, she cannot find another family doctor, she has called walk in clinics, crisis center, telehealth [ottawa,ontario], everyone has told her to go to emergency and the hospital told her they would not prescribe that to her. Is there anything she could do? Anyone know of any doctors that have the time to deal with her pain issues, she takes this drug for back and neck pain, so there is a reason for taking it. Eating disorder: lost 6 pounds in two days!?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't eat much, intentionally, usually under 400 calories a day. But lately, I've been around family more and pretty much forced to eat unless eveyone finds out I hate food. The only reason I really eat is to keep myself awake, I tend to not sleep. Today especially, I ate fast food, added it all up and found 940 calories. Yesterday I binged on chocolate (8 Hershey's miniature chocolate eggs :( ). Other than that I'd been having less than 200 calories since Sunday. Anyway, two nights ago, I weighed myself. 209 pounds (I've been overweight most of my life). Tonight, 203 pounds. How the heck did that happen? I was expecting to be at least 212. Should I be worried that I've been eating more, and losing more? I haven't been excercising much at all, unless you count nightly fourwheeler rides. After Sunday, I'll be right back to my less-than-400-calories-diet and exercising daily. I just want to know if I should be worried that I lost 6 pounds in two days... Thanks. Day Three Labs accidentally done on Day Seven!? Okay, so DH and I recently started seeing an RE for fertility issues (TTC x 11 months) and one of the questions I had for the doctor was when my period actually starts. Often before AF, I have several days of light brown discharge that confuses me. I know it can be old bleeding from the last cycle but I still question when my actual period starts. This month, I had two days of more than just the scant brown (it was heavier flow but no red) then it stopped for a day then I started the frank red bleeding. So I used the first day of the frank red bleeding as the start of my period. Luckily, we met with the RE the day after that so we were about to complete the Day 3 labs right away. My results were pretty bad. I was told that my FSH levels were high indicating that my body was screaming at my ovaries to produce follicles and my ultrasound showed much less follicle development than was to be expected from someone age 30. Fast foward to now...according to my "period" I am only 13 DPO which would mean that I'd be ovulating in the next day or two. But all my symptoms indicate that I ovulated 3 days ago which tells me my period probably started with the brown discharge, not the red. What all this boils down to (I know, a lot of details, I'm sorry...I wanted to give the whole picture) is that I think I may have done my Day 3 labs on Day Seven and my HSG on day 14 (right around ovulation!). What does this mean for the lab results? If I had gone on the actual day three, would my ovaries and FSH levels told a different (more positive or more negative) story? I don't want to waste 200 dollars for an appt. just for them to tell me it's an ingrown hair follicle. How can I get my baby to sleep longer? my son is three and a half months old. I'm not too worried about him sleeping through the night at this point. He does pretty well with that, He only wakes up once or twice to eat and then goes right back to sleep. But it is his naps that have me concerned. He used to take two or three one to two hour naps every day, but the last several days he has only been sleeping for 15 minutes to an hour. He wake sup still tired and grumpy. I try putting him back down, but he simply will not go to sleep. I think I do pretty well at getting him down initially for his naps, but then he wakes up and he won't go back to sleep, and so by the time the next nap rolls along he is overtired and has an even harder time getting to sleep. I already swaddle him, he won't even sleep at all without being swaddled. Does anyone know of anything that I can do to help him? What format are store bought CDs recorded with? I teach fourth grade Language Arts. I raise my voice, and if you notice, I have a question posted about hating my job and the discipline that comes with it. I often do not know how else to get their attention. However, I realize that all it leads to is them running over me. They realize this is all I do. I once heard a story about a speeding driver and a policeman. If the police just stood on the side of the road hollering for the driver to slow down, he wouldn't get much results. It takes them stopping them and giving them a citation to get them to realize they need to slow down. What I hate is going through with all the work of writing the citation when the speeders aren't going to slow down anyways. The good ones are going to be good, and the bad ones are going to be bad. I wish I knew some other way. I see other teachers control their cles, but I'm not sure how they do it. I feel bad sending them to the office or calling their parents over small things like talking or getting out of their seats at inappropriate times. There are many things you have to take into consideration. I have 28 in my cl. If you put any other normal person in there, they wouldn't be able to handle it. It is VERY stressful.
