IN the original story of aladdin (NOT the disney version) does aladdin actually have a magic flying carpet? ?

I can;t' see anywhere in an original version of the story where there is a flying carpet! I"m upset as I truly love the idea of that flying carpet! There is a lantern with a genie who grants as many wishes as wanted, it is not limited to 3.. does anyone know more about this story? thanks!
