96 dodge ram va problem?

i have a 96 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter gas engine, the truck seems to have a vae problem but i cant pinpoint it to were, when ever i accelerate fast like on the highway or wa ever the truck goes from vent to defrost the cruise control dont work and the 4wd dont work. i mainly just care about the 4wd. its not getting any va to the axel at all. i put i new va switch in the transfer case and still nothing. i even read some were online about the cruse control serve beeing a possible cause. i dont no i looked and all the lines underneath look good, i was wondering if there is some were else i should be looking and wat parts to check
