Gift Registry Questions...?

I'm a first time mommy-to-be and new to the whole baby shower scene. I think I have only been to one baby shower that I know of and I was really young then. Anyways, I just need some opinions on what stuff to put on the gift registry and what not. I personally want to purchase the crib, changing table and dresser on my own. I just figured those were the most expensive item and I don't really expect anyone to get those for me. Everything else, like the carseats, strollers, highchairs, ottoman and glider...etc...I was intending on registering for. Is that wrong of me? I would like to know what kind things you all put on yours.
